Michael brown was described as a criminal from a convenient store, where he was
judged by an officer of the law, they then got into a tussle match, Michael
Brown was then pronounced dead on site as he was shot more than six times in
the front of his body. When we think about Michael Brown the African male that
was murdered by law enforcers, all we see is ”Oh he is black, and he got shot,
lets protest”. When I sat back and read
the case, all it honestly says was that he was unarmed. All of these cases have
put officers in a predicament where they either have to shoot or get murdered. I am pretty sure
most of us would have pulled the gun, so we cannot pass judgment upon them for
doing so.
“What happened when Michael Brown met Officer Darren Wilson” by Clarke gives you the reader a clear understanding about the case. None of the people in this world knows what Michael did, all they have is the law enforcer’s word. I am not saying that the law enforcer’s word is a falsehood, but everything is questionable when dealing with someone else’s life. The Michael Brown case started riots all over the Country especially in Ferguson, Missouri. As we patiently sat and waited on a verdict, I knew that justice was not going to be served. Trayvon Martin’s killer acquitted, Emmett Till’s murderers, acquitted, so what is the difference between now, and then?
Ferguson, Missouri people would stand outside and want justice for the African American Teen until they heard the verdict which was announced on Monday, November 23, 2014. They sat and waited, but when the state calls for reinforcements, we already knew what the outcome was going to be. As all of America sat and watched the final verdict for this case, the state of Missouri gathered weapons and other material to prepare for one of the biggest civil rights movements of all time since Martin Luther King’s I have a dream period. They acquitted the officer on all accounts and he was at free. I ask you this question again, why do people of higher authority feel like they have to right to touch the people of These United States, whether you are Black, Caucasian, Asian, Mexican, etc.? Is it racism?
